Laser whitening

Tooth enamel has crystal structure called apatite. Teeth discolor when pigment is deposited among fine clearance.

Tooth whitening is usually done by hydrogen peroxide. It takes over four hours if oxidation of hydrogen peroxide is processed with body temperature.

It takes only 10 minutes to complete whitening with laser accelerating oxidation by photolysis of laser beam.
